Requirements

There are no specific requirements for admission into our preschool programs. You will need to provide information about your child’s health and any dietary issues that may exist. You will also need to have your pediatrician complete the form verifying that your child has received all the necessary immunizations.

We rarely accept children into the elementary program who have not graduated from our preschool program. The exception to this would typically be children from other Montessori schools who have moved into this area.

We encourage parents of Kindergarten-aged children to observe in the Junior Classes and to attend the orientation programs that are offered usually in February or March. At this meeting, materials will be available in the classrooms and you will have ample opportunity to ask questions and learn about the Montessori elementary curriculum.

Your child’s Primary teacher will complete a recommendation form before your child is accepted into the Junior Class. The elementary program requires the child to have reached a certain level of maturity and to have the ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively, with classmates. It is sometimes advisable to delay a child’s entry into the elementary program to assure his or her ultimate success!
